Danny stood in the Prima common room, bouncing up and down on the balls of his feet, as he looked around the crowded space. Boys from Dalton were constantly shuffling in and out of the house, each one leaving with their prom date on their arm. Danny sighed at the same time Weasley did upstairs in her dorm room.
The red haired girl looked into the full length mirror a certain brunette had set up in her room. She took in a deep breath and smoothed out the skirt of her floor length ice blue dress. Weasley looked at her face in the mirror. She had to hand it to her, Phlox knew her way around a makeup set. The aforementioned girl slapped Weasley’s hand away from her dress.
"Stop that! You’ll wrinkle it!" She reprimanded before going back to straightening the ginger’s hair. "There!" she finally said, sweeping half to the front, while the rest ran down Weasley’s back. The red head’s light pink stained lips curved up into a smile. She turned to her friend.
Danny was now pacing back and forth along the common room floor. It wasn’t until a figure draped in ice blue satin appeared at the top of the staircase did he turned. The swimmer’s jaw dropped as he took in the sight of his girlfriend, who was wearing and equally incredulous expression. Once she reached the bottom of the staircase, Danny took her hand and brought it to her lips, pressing them to her smooth skin.
"You’re so beautiful…" He murmured, pulling out a corsage made of small pink and white orchids and attaching it to her wrist. Danny pulled her into his side via her waist, smiling as someone (most likely Phlox) snapped a photo of them. He kissed her quickly before the headed out of Prima.
